Team workspaces

Invite people to your Pro or Business workspace, give them a role and manage who has access.

On Pro and Business, your account becomes a team workspace. The people you invite work with your short links, campaigns, folders and website analytics, under your plan's limits.

Before you start

PlanTeam members
Free, Starter, GrowthNot available
Pro5 members plus you (the owner)
Business10 members plus you (the owner)

The workspace is created automatically when you subscribe to Pro or Business. Its name is shown on the Team page and in the dashboard sidebar.

Invite a team member

  1. Open Team in the dashboard sidebar.
  2. Click + Invite member.
  3. Enter their Email address and choose a Role: Member or Admin.
  4. Click Send invitation.

They receive an email with a link to join. The invitation is valid for 7 days and appears under Pending invitations until it is accepted. From there you can Resend it or cancel it with the trash button.

Accept an invitation

  1. Open the link in the invitation email.
  2. Log in, or create an account, with the same email address the invitation was sent to.
  3. Click Accept Invitation. You are taken to the dashboard, now inside the team's workspace.

An account can belong to one team at a time. If an invitation has expired, the page offers Request New Invitation.

Admin today: the role picker describes Admin as able to manage the team, but inviting, changing roles, removing members and cancelling invitations are currently limited to the owner. In practice Admin and Member have the same access.

What is shared and what is personal

  • Shared with the team: short links and their analytics, campaigns, folders, the branded domains available when creating a link, and website analytics sites.
  • Personal to each person: Link in bio pages, API keys, the Custom domains page, profile and notification settings.
  • Limits: everything in the workspace counts toward the owner's plan. A link a member creates counts toward the owner's link limit.

Manage members

The Team page shows the workspace name, plan, Team members used out of the total, and free seats. As the owner you can, for each member:

  • Change the role with the role menu next to their name.
  • Remove them with the trash button. They lose access to the workspace immediately. Links they created stay in the workspace.

Switching workspaces

There is no workspace switcher. An account belongs to at most one team, and a team member always works inside that team's workspace. To use your own separate workspace, use a different account, or ask the owner to remove you from the team.

Troubleshooting

"Team is full"

All seats of your plan are taken. Remove a member you no longer need, or move from Pro to Business for more seats. Pending invitations do not use a seat until they are accepted.

"Invitation already sent to this email"

A valid invitation for that address exists. Use Resend in Pending invitations instead of inviting again.

"This invitation is for a different email address"

You are logged in with another account. Log out and log in with the address the invitation was sent to.

"You are already a member of another organization"

An account can only be in one team. Ask the other team's owner to remove you first.

The Team page says "Team members come with Pro"

Your plan does not include a team. Upgrade to Pro or Business to invite people.
