A shortener, a bio tool and an analytics script each see one piece of the story. useClick runs all three in one account. When a short link brings someone to your site, the signup or sale they complete there is credited to that link.
Clicks are not results. Set a goal on your site, and each signup or sale is credited to the short link that brought the visitor (Growth and up).
Short links, bio pages and website analytics share one login, one dashboard and one plan, and site conversions point back to the link that sent the visitor.
Cookie-free tracking needs no consent banner, so your numbers include the visitors who would have clicked decline.
Shortener, link-in-bio and website analytics in a single plan, starting with a free tier and no credit card.
An example of the picture you can build: clicks per channel and link, and the signups each link brought to your site.
Most link-in-bio tools count taps on their own page and stop there. useClick is a link platform first, so every button gets the tracking, the domain and the privacy of a proper short link.

Connect go.yourname.com on any plan, the free one included. Many link-in-bio tools keep custom domains for paid plans.
Your bio page opens straight to your buttons, not a consent pop-up. The analytics use no cookies and store no IP addresses, so there is nothing to ask permission for.

Your newsletter drove 31% of signups from 12% of clicks. Instagram brings more visits but converts at about a third of that rate. I'd point the Instagram link at the shorter landing page.
Website traffic and link clicks each get a full report with the same breakdowns: country, device, referrer and campaign. Click any of them to filter that report.

A URL shortener gives a long web address a short one. When someone opens the short link, the shortener's server looks up the original address and redirects them there. useClick also records each click (country, device, referrer) without cookies or IP addresses.
Short links are easier to read, type and share, and they fit in places with little room, such as SMS, print or a social profile. Because every visit goes through the short link, you can also count clicks per channel.
A shortener only makes links shorter. A link management platform also lets you organise links into campaigns, use your own domain, change a link's destination later, see click reports and work on links as a team. In useClick, editing destinations, campaigns and geo-targeting start on the Starter plan, A/B testing on Growth and team workspaces on Pro.
A short link on your own domain, such as go.yourbrand.com/launch, instead of a shared shortener domain. You connect a subdomain with one DNS record; every useClick plan includes at least one custom domain.
Google stopped creating new goo.gl links in 2019 and has since been turning the existing links off. If you still have goo.gl links in old material, recreate them in another shortener, ideally on your own domain so you are not tied to one provider again.
Not for every link. They are useful when you want to count clicks per channel, keep a link you have printed or published working after the destination changes, or put your own domain on links you share.
Keeping the links you share in one place: knowing where each one points, grouping them by campaign, changing destinations when pages move, and seeing which ones get clicked.
To know which campaigns and channels bring visitors, and to fix or redirect links without reprinting or re-posting them. With a handful of links a spreadsheet is enough; a tool helps once you share links across many channels or people.
The click is recorded on the server during the redirect, so nothing is stored in the visitor's browser. useClick stores country, region and city from edge headers, browser, device, operating system, language and referrer. Unique visitors are counted with a one-way hash, and IP addresses and full user agent strings are never stored.
That depends on what a tool stores and on how you use it. useClick sets no cookies, never stores IP addresses, deletes analytics after your plan's retention window, and offers a data processing agreement (DPA). Whether your whole setup is compliant also depends on your other tools; this is not legal advice.
A single page that lists several links, for profiles that allow only one link, such as Instagram or TikTok. It suits creators, shops and anyone who wants to send followers to more than one place. Each button on a useClick bio page is a short link, so its clicks are counted.
They print a QR code that opens a short link, on flyers, packaging, menus or signs. Because the code contains the short link, scans are counted as clicks, and on paid plans you can change where the code leads without reprinting it.
Yes. Short links keep long tracking URLs out of your emails and give you click counts that don't depend on your email tool. Use a link on your own domain where you can, since some spam filters treat links on shared shortener domains with suspicion.
Yes. Add a subdomain such as go.yourbrand.com, create one CNAME record at your DNS provider and click verify; the SSL certificate is issued automatically. Free includes 1 custom domain, Starter 5, Growth 10, Pro 20 and Business has no limit.
Not in a way that matters for most sites. useClick redirects with a permanent (301) redirect, which search engines follow to the destination. Short links are for sharing, though: on your own website, link to the real URL.
Nothing you created is deleted. If you cancel, you keep your paid plan until the end of the period you paid for, then the account moves to Free. Your links keep redirecting, including settings such as geo-targeting or passwords you added on a paid plan, but you can only edit features the new plan includes, and you can't create more links than it allows. Analytics older than the new plan's retention window (30 days on Free) are deleted by a daily job, so export what you want to keep first. On Free, links on the shared short domain can show visitors a short preview page after their first 5 clicks (links on your own domain don't), and website analytics stops recording new visits. Team members are suspended, not removed, and return if you upgrade again. Moving to a smaller paid plan goes through support.
Partly. The links list exports to CSV on every plan, with short link, destination, title, campaign, clicks, unique visitors and dates. Click data for a link exports to CSV on Starter and above, up to 50,000 rows per export. Links and clicks are also available through the REST API on every plan. Website analytics can't be exported as a file yet; the MCP server can return summaries. There is no one-click export of a whole account.
Yes, from the Starter plan. In Short links, click Import: Bitly, Rebrandly, Dub and Short.io connect with an API key (used once, never stored), and any other shortener, such as TinyURL, Cuttly, YOURLS, Shlink or Kutt, works with a CSV export. Destinations and titles are copied, the original back-half is kept when it is free on useClick, and you get a file that maps every old short URL to its new one. Click history stays with the old service.
useClick is built and run by Peter Csipkay, an independent, self-funded founder in Starnberg, Germany, who started it in 2024. The legal details are in the Impressum.
In the EU. Your links, clicks, bio pages and website analytics are stored in a database hosted by Supabase in Frankfurt, Germany, and the data stays in the European Union. No IP addresses are stored, and analytics older than your plan's retention window are deleted automatically. The service providers we use, with their roles and safeguards, are listed on the subprocessors page, and a data processing agreement (DPA) is available for every plan.
