Link in bio / Bio page editor

Bio page editor

Build your bio page with buttons, sections, media and creator blocks, style it with templates and themes, and edit it straight from the preview.

The bio page editor is where you shape a Link in bio page: what is on it, how it looks and where it lives. Open it from Link in bio in the dashboard, then Edit page on the page you want to change.

New to Link in bio? Start with the Link in bio setup guide.

How the editor is laid out

  • Header: the page name, its Published status, the page address with a copy button, buttons to switch between your bio pages, + New page, Open page, Share and Add link.
  • Finish your page: the setup checklist, until every step is done or you hide it. See Link in bio setup.
  • Numbers: Link clicks, Links on page, Avg. clicks per link and Content blocks.
  • Tabs: Content, Design, Profile and Settings.
  • Live preview · tap to edit: shows the page as visitors see it, next to the editor on wide screens and below it on smaller ones.
When changes are saved: anything on the Content tab (adding, editing, reordering, hiding and deleting items) saves right away. Changes on Design, Profile and Settings only go live after you click Save changes at the bottom of that tab.

Tap to edit in the preview

Every part of the live preview opens its own editor when you click it:

  • Photo, name or bio: opens the Profile tab at that field.
  • Social icons: opens the Profile tab at Add a platform.
  • A button: opens Edit bio link for it.
  • A block: switches to Content and opens that block.

Links in the preview never open their destination. Use Open page to try the real page.

Content: buttons and blocks

The Content tab lists everything on your page in order. Use the Add row to insert a new item at the bottom:

ItemWhat it isWhat you can set
LinkA button that opens a useClick short linkButton text, color, icon, spotlight and schedule
HeaderA section titleText, size (S, M, L) and alignment (left, center, right)
TextA line of free textText, size and alignment
DividerA separator lineAn optional label
MediaAn embedded playerA YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud, Apple Music or Vimeo link
Creator menuBlocks for creators and streamersLive badge, Stream schedule, Discord invite, Promo code (Starter) and Latest YouTube video (Growth)

Each creator block has its own guide section in Creator blocks. Blocks your plan does not include show the plan they need, and picking one opens an upgrade prompt.

Edit an item

  • Blocks: click the block, or choose Edit block in its menu. The fields open inline. Text saves when you click outside the field; switches and choices save at once.
  • Buttons: click the button, or choose Edit link. Edit bio link has:
    • Display text, a Button color (override) for this button only, and its Link icon.
    • Spotlight (Starter): Pulse, Glow or Shake to draw the eye to one button.
    • Schedule (Starter): Show from and Hide after, to show the button only for a set time.
    • Link URL, shown for reference. More link settings opens the short link, where you change the destination, password, expiry or backup URL.
Click Save changes. Spotlight and scheduling are covered in Link scheduling and spotlight.

Labels in the list

  • Hidden: the item is off the public page.
  • Scheduled or Ended: the button's schedule has not started yet, or is over. It is faded in the preview and not on your page.
  • Spotlight: the button has a spotlight animation.
  • 18+: the button is marked as adult content.

Reorder, hide and remove

  • Reorder: drag a row by its handle, or use Move up and Move down in the row's menu. Buttons and blocks share one order.
  • Hide: the eye button takes an item off the public page without deleting it. Hidden items are marked Hidden in the list and are left out of the live preview.
  • Remove: Remove from page takes a button off the page (the short link stays in your dashboard). Delete block deletes a block.

18+ buttons

Choose Mark as 18+ content in a button's menu to label it. On the page, visitors who tap it see an 18+ warning first and must tap again to continue. The label is stored on the short link, so it applies wherever that link is used on your bio pages. Choose Remove 18+ label to undo it. This works on every plan; for a whole page behind an age check, see 18+ and sensitive pages.

Design: templates, themes and style

At the top of the Design tab, Browse templates (or Change template) opens the template picker. A template sets the look and adds a few blocks; see Link in bio setup. Every other setting updates the live preview immediately. Click Save changes to publish.

SettingOptions
Themes17 one-tap presets that set the background, text style, button color, button text color and button shape together. Five are shown; Show all 17 themes reveals the rest.
LayoutFull image (your profile photo as a large image at the top) or Basic (a round avatar above the links)
Link iconThe default icon for every button: Favicon, Small image, Preview (an image card) or Text only. Individual buttons can override it.
Text colorDark text or Light text
ColorsBackground and Button fill; Show all colors adds Button text, Display name and Bio text. The last two can stay on Auto to follow the theme.
Button shapePill, Rounded or Square
FontDefault, Inter, Roboto, Poppins, Montserrat, Nunito, Playfair, Lora, Mono, Pacifico, Caveat or Comic
Button text sizeSmall, Medium or Large
Button text weightRegular, Medium or Bold
SpacingCompact, Normal or Spacious (the gap between items)

A template or theme is a starting point: after applying one, you can still change any single color or setting.

Profile and social icons

  • Profile image: an image file up to 5 MB. A square image works best.
  • Username: your page address, uclick.bio/username. 3 to 30 characters: letters, numbers, hyphens and underscores. Availability is checked as you type.
  • Display name: the name shown at the top of the page.
  • Bio: up to 200 characters.
  • Social icons: your profiles, shown as a row of icons under your name.

To add a social icon:

  1. If your page uses a template, click one of the suggested platforms. Otherwise search under Add a platform (more than 50, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Spotify, Email and Website) and click it.
  2. Fill in the field that appears: your profile URL, or an address or number for Email, Phone and SMS.
  3. Click Save changes.

Remove an icon with its trash button, then save. Changing the username changes the page address, so update any place you shared the old one.

Settings

The Settings tab controls where your page lives and how it behaves for visitors. Click Save changes after changing anything here.

SettingWhat it doesPlan
Custom domain (optional)Serves the page on your own domain instead of uclick.bioAll plans
Open in the visitor's browserInside Instagram, TikTok and other in-app browsers, shows a bar that opens your page in Safari or ChromeAll plans
18+ page gateVisitors confirm they are 18 or older before they see the page. Needs your own domain.Starter and up

The last two are explained in 18+ and sensitive pages.

Use your own domain

  1. Add and verify a DNS-based branded domain on the Custom domains page. See DNS-based domains.
  2. Back in the editor, choose the domain under Custom domain (optional).
  3. Click Save changes. The address in the editor header changes to your-domain/b/username.

Only verified DNS-based domains appear in the list. If you have none, the tab shows an Add a domain link.

Share your page

Share in the header opens your page address with a Copy button, a QR code with Download QR, and step-by-step instructions for adding the link on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X and Twitch.

Multiple bio pages

Paid plans include more than one bio page (Starter 2, Growth 5, Pro 10, Business 20). Each page has its own username, design and content.

  • Create one with + New page in the editor header or New bio page on the overview. The template picker opens for each new page.
  • Switch between pages with the page buttons in the editor header.
  • On the overview, each page card has Edit page, Copy link, Open, and Delete bio page in its menu.

Bio page analytics

Every button is a short link, so its clicks are tracked like any other link.

  • The numbers at the top show the total clicks of the links on the page, how many links and blocks it has, and the average clicks per link.
  • Each button row shows its clicks and its share of the page's clicks. Click the bar, or View analytics in the menu, to open that link's full analytics.
  • Promo code blocks count how often visitors copy the code. The count is shown in the block's row.
What the counts include: the click numbers are each short link's all-time total, including clicks from anywhere else you shared that link. There is no separate count of page views for the bio page itself. To see bio clicks only, use a short link that you share only on your bio page.

Troubleshooting

My design changes are not on the live page

Design, profile and settings changes need Save changes on the tab you edited. If you switched tabs without saving, go back and save.

An upgrade dialog opens when I choose a spotlight, schedule or block

Spotlight, scheduling and promo codes need Starter; the latest video block and automatic live status need Growth. If you move to a lower plan, spotlights, schedules and promo codes you already set keep working; see Creator blocks for what changes for the Growth blocks.

A media block shows no player

The link must be a YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud, Apple Music or Vimeo address. Copy the share link from the platform and paste it again.

An item is in the editor but not on the page

Check whether it is marked Hidden, Scheduled or Ended. Click the eye button to show a hidden item, or change the button's schedule in Edit bio link.

My custom domain is not in the list

Only DNS-based domains that have passed verification are listed. Finish verification on the Custom domains page first.
