Website analytics / Public dashboards

Public dashboards

Share the stats of a short link or a website through a public page anyone with the link can open.

A public dashboard is a read-only stats page you can send to a client, a partner or your audience. Viewers do not need a useClick account and cannot change anything. Public pages are off by default and you can switch them off again at any time.

What you can share

WhatPublic addressWhere to turn it on
A short link's click statsuseclick.io/stats/your-slugShare stats on the link's analytics page
A website's analyticsuseclick.io/stats/analytics/your-site-idShare stats in the site header, or Share public stats in the site's menu on the Website analytics overview

Turn on a public page

  1. Open the link's analytics page or the website's report, and click Share stats.
  2. In the Share stats dialog, switch Public stats page on.
  3. Copy the address with the copy button, or open it to check what viewers see.

On a link, a small green dot on Share stats shows that its page is public. On a website, the button says Public or Private.

Turn it off

Open Share stats again and switch Public stats page off. The address stops working right away: visitors see "These stats are private". Any embedded globe (below) stops loading as well.

What viewers see

Link stats page

  • The short link and the destination it redirects to, with Copy and QR code buttons.
  • Clicks, Unique visitors (est.), Clicks per visitor and Bot traffic, compared with the previous period.
  • The clicks chart, locations (including map and globe), referrers, browsers and devices, time-of-day, weekday and monthly charts, bot traffic, and a Recent clicks list with time, country, device, browser and referrer.
  • Date range tabs and a time zone picker.

Website stats page

  • The domain with a Visit site button.
  • Visitors, Page views, Views per visit, Bounce rate, Avg. time and Top channel.
  • The page views chart, locations, top pages, traffic sources, technology, the When people visit heatmap, weekday and monthly charts and bot traffic.
  • User journeys, if your plan includes them (Growth, Pro and Business).
  • Date range tabs and a time zone picker.

The date ranges a viewer can pick follow your plan. Longer ranges are hidden rather than locked, and data older than your retention window is never shown.

What stays private

  • Goals, conversions, funnels and revenue are not on the public website page.
  • Viewers cannot filter the report, change settings or see your other links and sites.
  • No IP addresses are shown, because useClick does not store them.
The link stats page shows the destination URL. Don't make a link public if its destination should stay confidential, for example a private download or an unlisted page.

Embed the 3D globe

The Share stats dialog also has Embed the 3D globe: an iframe that shows your traffic by country on an interactive globe. Use Preview to see it, then copy the code into a blog post or web page:

<iframe src="https://useclick.io/embed/globe/website/your-site-id" width="100%" height="480" style="border:0;border-radius:16px" loading="lazy" title="Traffic globe"></iframe>
  • The globe only shows counts per country: no pages, referrers or visitor details.
  • It always shows a "Powered by UseClick.io" badge.
  • It only works while the public stats page is on.

Good to know

  • Public pages are not indexed by search engines, but anyone with the address can open them. Treat the address like a shareable document link.
  • The link stats page is built from the link's most recent clicks (up to 1,000). For links with more clicks than that, the numbers on the public page cover only the latest 1,000; your own dashboard shows everything.
  • Changing a link's slug changes its public address.

Troubleshooting

Viewers see "These stats are private"

The public page is switched off. Open Share stats and switch Public stats page on.

The embedded globe is empty or does not load

Check that the public stats page is on, and that the site or link has traffic in its history.
